What You'll Do

Provide expertise in the areas of technical planning, implementation, and support activities for information systems as part of the Systems Engineering Team. Serve as a subject matter expert across various infrastructure technologies including Azure IaaS/PaaS, O365, Teams, Azure AD, AD, Azure Virtual Desktop, Storage, Backups, and disaster recovery.

The ideal candidate for this position will have strong enthusiasm for building robust systems infrastructure while improving existing implementations according to industry best practices, ensuring a high level of system availability, and will possess pertinent awareness of information security.

• Management of Azure tenants, subscriptions, policies, cost, and IaaS/PaaS solutions

• Automate processes wherever possible to gain efficiency and consistency.

• Create, update, and maintain documentation of all technology processes and components.

• Define and document best practices and strategies regarding system deployment and infrastructure maintenance.

• Ensure system performance and uptime while maintaining high standards of thoughtful design.

• Recommend, design, build, and deploy new tools and platforms that help automate, streamline, and scale systems operations efforts.

• Employ exceptional problem-solving skills for complex issues, with the ability to see and solve issues before they affect business productivity.

• Act as a Tier III escalation point for systems requests and incidents.

• Provide after-hours support as needed for critical systems.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or IT-focused field or equivalent experience

• 3+ years of experience in a system engineering role.

• Expert-level knowledge and hands-on experience maintaining AD, Azure AD, Azure IaaS/PaaS, Windows OS, VMware vSphere, O365, storage systems, modern hardware and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery systems, system performance monitoring, and disaster recovery practices.

• Strong knowledge of PowerShell scripting (preferred)

• Possess a positive and proactive attitude towards customer support and a desire to help people.

• Ability to effectively multitask and work on multiple projects and various other tasks in tandem.

• Relevant industry certifications such as MCSE, VCP, Azure Solutions Architect Expert (preferred)

• Highly disciplined and able to work independently and without direct supervision.

• Problem solver; able to think on your own and develop quick, sound solutions to complex problems while demonstrating a sense of urgency.

• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
