Systems Engineer

CIO Tech is an MSP in Tampa Florida. We offer technology support, network security and a wide variety of IT services which includes hosting in two data centers across the United States.

We are looking for a Systems Engineer to help build out, maintain, and troubleshoot our rapidly expanding infrastructure.

You will be part of a talented team of engineers that demonstrate superb technical competency, delivering mission critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance, and security.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure
• Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
• Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
• Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes
• Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
• Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks
• Participate in the design of information and operational support systems
• Provide 2nd and 3rd level support
• Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution

• VMWare/Hyper-V in a large scale, highly available configuration
• Nimble
• Veeam
• Monitoring and Management Tools
• Security and other tools such as EDR (SentinelOne, OKTA, Duo, etc)
• Cisco Catalyst & Nexus
• Barracuda NG Firewalls
• Ticketing systems such as ConnectWise Manage, Datto PSA, etc.
• RMM systems such as ConnectWise Automate, Datto PSA, Kaseya, etc.
• Documenting work in systems such as ITGlue

Requirements

• 2 years of IT support experience within a MSP (Managed Services Environment)
• 2 year (AS) degree in Computer Technology, similar degree or experience
• CompTIA A+, Network +, Security Plus, similar certification or experience
• Microsoft, Cisco, VMWare (or other key vendor/manufacturer specific technical certifications or experience
