At Bank of America, the Systems Engineer is a member of a team. In this role, the ideal candidate will participate in design, development and implementation of systems engineering activities, to include OS technical support, systems programming and data center capabilities. The candidate will be responsible for components of complex engineering and/or analytical tasks and activities. They will also serve as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource; provides tech knowledge and capabilities as team member and individual contributor. The ideal candidate will not have direct reports but will influence and direct activities of a team related to special initiatives or operations and will provide input on staffing, budget and personnel. Typically 5 or more years of systems engineering experience is associated with the candidate in this role.

Required Skills
- 3 years experience in L2/L3 IT enterprise software tools support / development such as Autosys/TWS/Endevor etc..
- Technical Skills: Unix Shell / Windows Batch Scripting, Java/J2EE/JSP/REACTJS/NODEJS, PL/SQL, Tableau/other BI Tools
- Ability to provide 24X7 on-call support as needed
- Resolution of security vulnerabilities on Windows/Unix hosts.
- Excellent Verbal and written Communication Skills with attention to details
- Adept at using Microsoft office tools such as excel, word and PowerPoint.
- Team player with ability to interface with various teams such as Security, Mainframe Strategy, Application, Operations, System Administration, Hardware, Network etc.
- Ensure that the environment is 100% updated with relevant patches by coordinating with all internal stakeholders within specified deadline
- Drive innovation and automation, reduce existing manual effort or simplify operations
- Ability to research, investigate and implement new functionality and features for web applications(user interfaces / back-end)
- Develop and Implement interfaces with other Monitoring tools like Netcool/Remedy/ARM etc..

Pay and benefits information
New York City pay range:
$85,000 - $125,000 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.
Discretionary incentive eligible
This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
