Systems Engineer

Team Merlin is seeking a Systems Engineer in Aurora, CO. This position provides direct support to the site Chief Engineer (CE) working within the Intelligence Community on complex projects crucial to national security objectives.

Primary Responsibilities

• Primarily support Chief Engineer (CE) and Deputy SEI leadership ensuring execution of engineering activities across the site
• Collaborate with NRO directorates, organizations and mission partners as necessary to ensure project requirements through delivery are understood meeting accurate, timely, and budgetary goals
• Translate site requirements to documentation, briefings, and present to the IC community as required
• Develop and deliver plans, assessments, reports, and briefings to the Government in support of the CE

Required Qualifications

• 9 years' technical experience
• Bachelors of Science degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM) or relevant field required
• Thorough understanding of the ADF-C, NRO, and NRO operations.
• Previous experience providing subject matter expertise advisory services regarding strategy, operations, and management of national programs.
• Self-starter, proactively addresses customer requirements with no supervision; expert at defining solutions for broad, abstract topics
• Polished communicator (written/verbal); impeccable interpersonal skills and personal judgment
• Master at collaboration and coordination with multiple stakeholders -- consensus builder
• Engineering and Strategic Planning background
• NRO documentation development background
• Expertise across full systems engineering lifecycle and project management.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph

Desired Qualifications

• 4 Years' Experience in initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, and controlling DoD or Intelligence Community projects or Programs
• Systems engineering background and significant space and ground domain knowledge in customer mission technical capabilities and performance
• Project management tools to include JIRA and Confluence

Basic Compensation

141,000.00 - 174,000.00 USD Annual

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
