Job Details:

Job Summary: Support the system/subsystem design, development, and support of a major, high-use Full Motion Video system. The incumbent will serve in an engineer role supporting system development, integration and support efforts for our Navy customer. The candidate will be responsible for assisting existing Tier I and II personnel in solving basic technical problems, resolving issues directly with Navy community customers, investigating issues, and elevating as necessary. You will work with internal product development and third-party vendor solutions, providing technical input to architecture and design plans ensuring the successful integration of the end-to-end solution. The successful candidate will have experience in the unique requirements deploying IT systems for the DoD along with knowledge of DoD accreditation processes.

Applicants selected must possess a DOD SECRET with the ability to obtain a Top SECRET/SCI clearance.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work closely with other engineering disciplines to ensure coordination and integration of system elements and interface requirements.
• Conceptualize, develop and analyze engineering designs, specifications and test plans for systems and equipment based on customer/contract requirements.
• Create and execute certification plans to gain approval by certifying agencies.
• Monitor project status and system performance.
• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements for all engineering tasks.
• Develop system architectures that relate requirements and interfaces so that effectiveness of system design concept is clearly communicated to customer.
• Perform system requirement analysis and reviews system and subsystem design and interface specifications.
• Maintain liaison with customer, subcontractor and vendor representatives.
• Evaluate vendor capabilities to provide required products or services.
• Participate in design reviews and technical meetings.
• Participate in both internal and external design reviews and status meetings.
• Interface with Quality Assurance to ensure application of quality standards.
• Hybrid position with 3 days in-office weekly #LI-hybrid
• Some travel national and international up to 10%.

Minimum Job Requirements:

• Four-year college degree in a related technical field, plus a minimum of four years of related experience, or the combined equivalent of education and experience.
• Active Secret clearance is required.
• Must have a strong hardware and software background, with an emphasis on system architecture.
• Must be able to demonstrate experience with Open-Source Software (OSS) solutions (Linux, Postgres).
• Relevant experience with DoD accreditation processes.
• Ability to travel for meetings, briefings, demonstrations, and integration/test activities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to solve complex and difficult system design and engineering problems.
