Systems Engineer

The Power and Signal Conversion (P&S) business group within Nexperia is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer with knowledge and experience in analog semiconductor ICs and experience in the analog semiconductor market. The systems engineer will understand the technology landscape, help to develop solutions to fit customer problems, and see the products through to production. The systems engineer will also drive the organization roadmap and strategy. This position requires strong communication skills and leadership qualities. The selected individual will assume a senior technical contributor role with the ability to identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement and work collaboratively with a diverse team.

The Power and Signal Conversion Business Group is a newly formed organization within an established semiconductor company, operating in a new product space from the company's core businesses. This organization provides an opportunity to work on cutting edge products in Signal Conversion including ADCs, DACs, sensing, interface products and more.

What you will do

• Interface with customers to understand system level problems and analyze future technology trends to identify solutions and product opportunities
• From these solutions, develop new product definitions, including developing business case proposals, product strategies and technology roadmaps
• Assess and negotiate IC development tradeoffs with design team and customer
• Interface across different functional groups such as design, applications, test, Si validation, etc. to ensure product is realized as defined and end product fits customer's needs
• Analyze the end equipment spaces that our products could be used and drive product development into those focus areas
• Responsible for creating technical literature such as datasheets, system specification, validation plan, etc.
• Build relationships with customers and field teams by closely interacting with them to identify and solve system problems

What you will need

• 5+ years of experience in semiconductor industry
• Experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) of analog semiconductor ICs
• Deep understanding of device- and system-level electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing
• Understanding of industrial, automotive and consumer markets

• Master's or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or related field of study
