Systems Engineer

Essential Functions:

• Mentor and train other engineers throughout the company and seek to continually improve processes companywide
• Work closely with engineering professionals and product managers within the company to maintain hardware and software needed for projects to be completed efficiently
• Work closely with engineering professionals and product managers within the company to create and maintain technical product roadmaps
• Provide clear goals for all areas of a project and develop steps to oversee their timely execution
• Be proactive about challenges or constraints within a project and seek to manage them accordingly
• Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions including materials, manpower and time necessary
• Assist other department engineers in creating practical demonstrations of proposed solutions and demonstrating them to other members of the team
• Work alongside project management teams to successfully monitor progress and implementation of initiatives
• Establish milestones for necessary contributions from departments and develop processes to facilitate their collaboration
• Develop and present recommendations for interfacing new capabilities with existing applications
• Provide systems engineering/technical assistance for planning, testing, implementation, installation, maintenance of products
• Conduct a needs analysis in support of solutions while performing validation assessments for identified requirements
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Experience developing product roadmaps and system requirements
• Demonstrated project development and leadership skills
• Current understanding of best practices regarding systems engineering
• Professional work experience in team building and project managing
• Advanced education and application of business analysis techniques and strategy
• Experience with hardware engineering, software engineering and customer experience
• Ability to work together with teams from several departments to facilitate the orderly execution of a proposed project plan
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic works well with others
• Excellent verbal/written communication and teamwork skills
• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Engineering discipline or related degree required or equivalent experience and certifications
• Ability to Travel
