MITRE's End-to-End Systems Engineering Department is looking for systems engineers with an interest in advancing and applying innovative systems engineering techniques to help solve some of our nation's most critical challenges in delivering services to citizens throughout defense and intelligence, aviation, homeland security, the judiciary, healthcare, and cybersecurity domains. Roles and Responsibilities:

As an Associate Systems Engineer, you will leverage and grow your systems engineering expertise to provide support across a variety of system development lifecycles, through the design, implementation, and integration of enterprise systems and system-of-systems for federal agencies. Specific responsibilities may include:

• Apply cutting edge methods and tools (such as Model-Based Systems Engineering, Digital Engineering, Machine Learning, Data Analytics) to assess designs, identify, and mitigate performance constraints and gaps, evaluate proposed changes, and support verification and test, to solve problems that make the world a safer place.
• Advising government leaders in defining the context, problem space and vision to determine capabilities, priorities, road maps, and technology needs using modern system engineering approaches.
• Supporting requirements management and analysis, interface management, architecture development and test and evaluation processes.
• Conducting qualitative and quantitative systems engineering analyses that can be translated into actionable recommendations for federal agencies.
• Applying, systems engineering skills to drive a holistic approach to systems development and design.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics or relevant technical discipline.
• Experience in Systems Engineering tools such as: MagicDraw, Cameo Enterprise Architecture, Rhapsody, Stella, iThink, Anylogic, Systemitool, or relevant SE design tools.
• Proven ability to work independently to learn new System Engineering/MBSE technologies, techniques, processes, languages, and best practices.
• Must be a US citizen capable of obtaining and maintaining a DoD clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong interpersonal skills to develop a trusted advisor relationship with senior leaders, and effectively communicate and collaborate with multiple engineering/program disciplines with proven success in working across organizational boundaries to deliver results.
• Experience working with Government preferred, but experience working on system development and design projects in other academic and industry environments will be considered.
• Candidates holding current / active US Government security clearance(s) are highly preferred.

Salary compensation range and midpoint:

$74,500 - $93,000 - $111,500 Annual
