Who We Need & What You’ll Do
The Security Systems Engineer, Email role is essential to the security transformation program. It will provide security management oversight of IT systems, infrastructure, and software application layers. As part of the remit, this role is also responsible for monitoring and maintaining AccuWeather's email systems. As the company implements its security transformation program, the security systems engineer will support it by providing compliance and regulatory assurance. This includes ensuring that secure configurations are in place to meet compliance with the company's information security policies and standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide security oversight of all systems, infrastructure, and applications.
• Provide security assurance for the installation and maintenance of operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
• Responsible for the configuration, management, and monitoring of the company email systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve escalated trouble tickets related to company email.
• Configure and maintain all email security measures including DMARC, DKIM, and SPF.
• Provide metrics and reporting on all company email systems.
• Assist in the monitoring and management of all security-related reporting, including any follow-up actions required for risk management.
• Have an up-to-date awareness of all diagnostic security monitoring outcomes, especially as they relate to Security Incident and Event Monitoring (SIEM).
• Identify current and emerging technology issues, including security trends, vulnerabilities, and threats.
• Support all threat intelligence monitoring and management.
• Assist with security vendor management in relation to any security solution implementation.

Job Qualifications

• 5 - 7 years of experience working in an IT technical and Information security environment.
• Proven experience in all areas of email security management including DMARC, DKIM, and SPF implementation.
• Experience working and collaborating across diverse teams.
• Experience in security compliance and standards for areas such as patch management, network, and system environments.
• Experience in understanding reporting from penetration tests, security auditing reports, and automated log analysis reports.
