SYSTEMS ENGINEER - EPIC INFRASTRUCTURE - 1319

Montefiore's Epic Infrastructure team is seeking a talented Server Admin to work on our elite Epic team. In this role, you will work on managing and improving the technology upon which our health system relies on for Epic, our EMR tool, and other tools and platforms.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform EPIC Windows infrastructure management on VMWare virtual machines.
• Apply platform and Epic upgrades and updates to production and non-production Web & Citrix server components
• Design, install and implement high availability solutions.
• Capacity planning and performance management of critical servers and applications.
• Create and maintain system documentation for specifications, designs, procedures, and logs. Document all processes, system changes/fixes, and issues.
• Participate in 24x7 on call rotation for support.
• Troubleshoot the system as an expert to identify any possible faults or potential issues.
• Design, build, and support directory services, desktop/mobile email, and/or network operating systems in an Internet protocol environment.
• Monitor network and Web server activity for security breaches using intrusion detection techniques.
• Perform file system management.
• Apply platform and Epic upgrades and updates to production and non-production Web server components.
• Participate in change control and testing.
• Follow best practices.

Requirements include:

• Expertise in Microsoft Windows server administration in an enterprise/corporate IT environment
• Expertise with Citrix XenServer virtualization platform

Preferred:

• Hyperspace/Hyperdrive management & deployment experience
• Expertise with Citrix XenServer virtualization platform
• Load balancing solutions (F5, NetScaler)
• IIS administration
• TCP/IP, Active Directory, Domain Name Services, FTP/SCP, and HTTP

Obtaining Epic Client Systems Administrator certification is a condition of employment.
