Systems Engineer

Location: Fort Collins, CO (Preferred), or any location where CSI has an office

Shift: The shift for this position will be four ten-hour shifts from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm MT, Wednesday through Saturday. This is a 24x7 team; schedules are typically static, but flexibility is a must to allow for coverage or adjustments as needed.

Systems Engineers are an integral part of the success that encompasses the NOC Infrastructure team at CSI's Managed Services Group. System Engineers are responsible for tickets regarding our client's infrastructure that require escalation to a specialist-level engineer. They are responsible for ensuring critical issues are resolved to client satisfaction and meeting service level agreements. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor, analyze, and resolve systems-level incidents for CSI's Managed Services clients.
• Take ownership of systems tickets until resolution or escalation.
• Ensure all tickets are updated with accurate information.
• Escalate cases to appropriate specialists as necessary to ensure issues are resolved in a timely fashion.
• Communicate technical issues and solutions with clients in business terms.
• Work with other teams to identify the source of issues.
• Field client phone calls, emails, and alerts and create tickets
• Analyze client systems and report on security and performance. Provide recommendations via monthly Managed Service reports.

REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment and a STRONG desire to learn.
• Must be proficient working with Microsoft Windows Server and server applications.
• Minimum of 2 years of system administration experience, 3 years or more is preferred.
• Works towards or currently have an industry certification that relates to systems such as an MCSA for servers or a VMware VCP certification.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with executives, engineers, sales, vendors and peers.
• Team player required: must be able to interact with peers, management, and senior engineers in a constantly evolving environment to ensure a positive customer experience and atmosphere in the workplace.

NICE TO HAVES

• Managed services experience.
• Experience with email flow and spam filtering products
• Experience implementing business continuity and disaster recovery backups
• Experience and certifications with SAN storage environments
• Experience managing virtualized and cloud environments (Citrix, VMWare Horizon, VMWare ESXi, Azure)
• Experience in the financial service industry
• Familiarity with compliance regulations: FFIEC, FDIC, NCUA, GDPR, and GLBA

Colorado Applicants Only: The pay range for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 per year; base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience and market location.
