By joining our SNS Engineering team you'll have the opportunity to participate in all levels of the total system product lifecycle including concept, design, fabrication, modeling, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal. As a Systems Engineer, you will provide technical direction and clarification of requirements to software development teams & test personnel, perform system engineering analyses including requirements definition and derivation, interface definition, and requirement validation and verification. This role will also support the definition of operations concepts and procedure planning / development, interface with personnel from other organizations, and represent the program at technical interchange meetings.

This individual will interface with their team lead, team members, and other teams on a daily basis, conduct or participate in customer and/or program presentations, and provide task progress status updates and work products to the team lead.

Required Skills:

• Interest in systems engineering roles and functions, such as one or more of the following areas:
• operations concept development
• requirements management
• functional analysis/synthesis
• interface definition and control
• engineering change management
• Communication with other program personnel, customer overseers, and senior executives
• Experience working in a team environment
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Experience using Microsoft Office suite
• Bachelor's Degree in engineering, computer science or related discipline
• U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. security clearance

Desired Skills:

• Systems Engineering experience on a large government software development contract
• Experience in Systems Engineer process development and deployment
• Experience working in an Agile development environment
• Experience with MATLAB
• Experience with Python or other scripting languages
• Experience working with requirements in DOORS
• Active and in-scope DOD Top Secret US security clearance is desired but not required

Required Education:

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline (preferably Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics).
• This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internship)
