Raytheon Intelligence and Space (RIS) has an opening for an intermediate level Systems Engineer to join our Systems Engineering and Integration Team (SEIT) located in Indianapolis, Indiana. This position will work to develop solutions to solve customer needs by providing customized engineering services and products for unique customer missions.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide support developing and documenting requirements and interfaces
• Provide support developing, documenting, and executing system verification to show compliance
• Integrate software and hardware subsystems
• Follow a structured data driven approach to solve problems
• Contribute to the completion of project/program milestones under the general guidance of the immediate supervisor and team leads
• Follow established SE processes and procedures

Requirements:

• This position requires 2+ years of related engineering experience.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
• Ability to apply engineering principles, theories, and concepts
• Ability to Successfully develop solutions to routine technical problems
• Ability to work in a multi discipline team environment
• Ability to articulate status and results
• Possess strong written and oral communication skills

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with requirements development, derivation, and management
• Experience with integration of software and hardware subsystems
• Experience with security engineering concepts and practices and the software development life cycle
• Experience with Aerospace platforms / systems
• Ability to research and distill data into meaningful information

Required Education:

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
