POSITION SUMMARY:

We are looking for a new colleague in the Engineering, Product Innovation department at our location in Lafayette, Indiana.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop new product concepts from ideation to Proof of Concept.
• Develop and troubleshoot complex mechatronic vehicle systems.
• Analyze data to determine product improvement opportunities and new product concepts.
• Responsible for technology scouting to support new concepts.
• Create concept documentation to support series production launch by product engineering.
• Calculate and present economic value of concept.
• Lead or support cross functional development teams as appropriate based on relevance of subject matter competence.
• Internally evangelize/advocate for new concept acceptance.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with preference of advanced degree in ME/EE/physics

• Minimum of 3yearsexperience in mechatronic system development with experience in real time embedded safety critical automotive systems.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of organization.
• Strong documentation skills and orientation.
• Self-directed and highly motivated to create value by improving transportation safety and efficiency.
