The Opportunity

The RDS R&D Molecular Point of Care (mPOC) Development Chapter is looking for a scientist/engineer with training and work experience in medical device development and validation. In this role you will be supporting project team tasks from the feasibility phase through system verification and release is required.

Also, you are:

• Performing routine or standard technical assignments, which are typically a focused portion of a larger project, such as system installation, troubleshooting, developing and executing verification test cases, and compiling associated documentation.

• Supporting the team in product requirements definition and risk assessments. Prepares appropriate technical documentation for product design history files and FDA submissions; appliying technical writing skills to produce reports.

• Analyzing and interpreting large datasets to identify trends and insights

• Conducting testing in the laboratory to integrate and evaluate reagents, hardware, and software toward assessing feasibility of automated test systems for RUO and IVD and applications

• Assessing test results for applicability, validity, and conformance to product requirements.

Who you are

• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of equivalent experience in engineering, sciences, or related field with detailed technical knowledge of system integration principles, concepts, and theories is required

• Master’s degree and 2 years experience is preferred.

• Excellent communication: ability to present technical information clearly in oral presentations as well as writing technical reports and verbally communicating with other technical staff

The expected salary range for this position based in California is 71,300.00 -- 132,300 USD. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below. Relocation benefits are not offered for this position.
