Torch Technologies, a 100% employee-owned company is seeking a Systems Engineer/Launcher.
The Systems Engineer is responsible for executing systems engineering and integration efforts in support of the Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies (RCCTO) Mid-Range Capability (MRC) Project Office, which is responsible for the development, testing, integration, and fielding of the Army's Mid-Range Missile capability.

Job Responsibilities:
Launcher Engineering
- Finalize design and development
- Support Engineering mitigation of production issues
- Support Integration activities
- Support maturation of Technical Data Package from Level 2 to Level 3
- Creation of artifacts to support the fielding decision
Systems Engineering
- Execute Configuration Management to include Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) through Joint Configuration Change Board (JCCB)
- Lead Technology Insertion Points (TIPs) identification and management
Launcher Integration Support
- Monitors cost, performance, and schedule indicators and provides input to the Product Director
- Facilitates Launcher IPT Meetings
- Manages Change Requests and coordinates with Engineering and Configuration Management
- Reviews System and Product Specifications and provides comments and feedback to the Product Director
- Maintains Launcher Action Items
- Reviews Launcher Product Drawings and Design
- Coordinates with Engineering for Product Improvements identified for Technology Insertion Points
Job Requirements
Required Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Systems Engineering and Integration
Required Skills:
- Active Secret Clearance
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of Systems Integration to system development and requirements analysis.
- Strong ability to multitask in a high paced environment
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Mechanical aptitude
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Mechanical Aptitude - Ability to work with the OEM to evaluate solutions for Technical Insertion Points. The Launcher is a lot about loads, stresses, cooling, etc.
- Production - ability to monitor supply status, build status, identify log jams and see schedule risk
- Program Management - ability to look at cost/schedule/performance metrics
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with launcher production a plus
