Systems Engineer: Modeling and Simulation
KBR is seeking a junior-level Systems Engineer to support Modeling and Simulation analysis at an Enterprise Architecture level. In this role, the Systems Engineer will sound systems engineering practices to coordinate, integrate, and conduct technical modeling, simulation, and analysis that will shape future space architecture investments decisions. As a part of this role, you will find yourself on the cutting edge of supporting the customer's enterprise-wide transformation into the Digital Engineering environment.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Coordinate, integrate, and conduct modeling, simulation, and analysis in support of study efforts including validating methodologies and data integration
- Offer individual insights, recommend follow-on studies or analysis based upon analysis/work findings
- Create, deliver, and maintain documentation of all data processing methods used
- Create, deliver, and maintain visualization approaches (including iterations thereof) in support of the modeling and simulation effort(s)
- Create, deliver, and maintain all modeling, simulation, and analysis study documentation in customer's knowledge base
- Produce analysis roadmaps or forecasts projecting outyear projects
- Advise and create approaches for managing, governing, and sharing modeling, simulation, and analysis models and data
- Perform product and data quality analysis
- Create, deliver, and maintain automated and manual workflows in support of modeling, simulation, and analysis
- Identify and advise customer on tools-related needs and gaps
- Maintain and update related modeling, simulation, and analysis policies and procedures
- Advise and assist the customer on the Mission Assurance related process improvements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree (STEM or advanced degree preferred)
- Familiarity with systems engineering
- Familiarity with modeling, simulation, and analysis tools and processes
- Familiarity with DoD or IC space community
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Systems Engineering experience with Model-Based Engineering applications and technology
- OMG-Certified Systems Modeling Professional certification or demonstrated commensurate level of knowledge
- Knowledge of the Unified Architecture Framework (UAF)
- Knowledge and experience with System Modeling Language (SysML)
- Familiarity with Agile development environment(s)
