JOB DESCIPTION
KBR is seeking a mid-level Systems Engineer to support Modeling and Simulation analysis at an Enterprise Architecture level. In this role, the Systems Engineer will use their knowledge of the government customer's space architecture and sound systems engineering practices to coordinate, integrate, and conduct technical modeling, simulation, and analysis that will shape future architecture investments. As a part of this role, you will find yourself on the cutting edge of supporting the customer's enterprise-wide transformation into the Digital Engineering environment.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Coordinate, integrate, and conduct modeling, simulation, and analysis in support of study efforts including validating methodologies and data integration
- Offer individual insights, recommend follow-on studies or analysis based upon analysis/work findings
- Create, deliver, and maintain documentation of all data processing methods used
- Create, deliver, and maintain visualization approaches (including iterations thereof) in support of the modeling and simulation effort(s)
- Create, deliver, and maintain all modeling, simulation, and analysis study documentation in customer's knowledge base
- Produce analysis roadmaps or forecasts projecting outyear projects
- Advise and create approaches for managing, governing, and sharing modeling, simulation, and analysis models and data
- Perform product and data quality analysis
- Create, deliver, and maintain automated and manual workflows in support of modeling, simulation, and analysis
- Identify and advise customer on tools-related needs and gaps
- Maintain and update related modeling, simulation, and analysis policies and procedures
- Advise and assist the customer on the Mission Assurance related process improvements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree required, STEM degree or advanced degree preferred
- Demonstrated experience performing modeling, simulation, and analysis
- 3+ years relevant experience
- Demonstrated DoD or IC space community experience; IC preferred
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with applications/programs such as AGI's Systems Tool Kit, MATLAB, SIMULINK, Python, Tableau, and C++
- Experience with Space systems and understand the space system acquisition process
- Experience with Space system tasking, collection, processing, exploitation, and dissemination processes
- Working knowledge of the Systems Modelling Language (SysML) and the Unified Architecture Framework (UAF)
- Systems Engineering experience with Model-Based Engineering applications and technology
- Experience with the development of executable systems models
- OMG-Certified Systems Modeling Professional certification or demonstrated commensurate level of knowledge
- Experience working in an Agile development environment
