Rate of Pay: $172,525 to $203,600 per Year
Duties: Provide specialized rail transit systems engineering knowledge. Design Communication Based Train Control (CBTC) systems and other related rail transit systems, from inception to implementation and revenue service. Develop technical reports, specifications, and procedures, for CBTC systems. Work for or closely with CBTC system suppliers, with a complete understanding of all CBTC system functions, subsystems and components. Conduct RAMS analyses and specifying and verifying RAMS requirements for CBTC systems. Apply knowledge of formal safety and security certification processes based on regulatory requirements and accepted North American and European industry standards. Understand CBTC brownfield upgrade challenges and make recommendations to improve project deployment, safety, security and reliability. Work in a complex interdisciplinary project environment involving multiple customer, stakeholder, and supplier organizations.
Requirements: Position requires Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or closely related field and 9 years of experience in job offered or a Systems Engineering-related occupation. Position requires:
1. Writing specifications
2. Developing software and electrical designs
3. Analyzing requirements, performing calculations and analyses.
