JOB DESCIPTION
KBR is seeking a junior-level Risk Manager to provide risk and opportunity management functions in support of the development and fielding of major systems ensuring their successful acquisition and the success of the government customer. As a Risk Manager you will be a key part of the systems engineering acquisition team ensuring that program risks and opportunities are identified, tracked, and effectively addressed and communicated with all stakeholders.

JOB DESCIPTION
KBR is seeking a junior-level Risk Manager to provide risk and opportunity management functions in support of the development and fielding of major systems ensuring their successful acquisition and the success of the government customer. As a Risk Manager you will be a key part of the systems engineering acquisition team ensuring that program risks and opportunities are identified, tracked, and effectively addressed and communicated with all stakeholders.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Identify, assess, and incorporate Risk, Issue, and Opportunity data into existing, customer furnished tools in coordination with enterprise and program representatives
- Manage enterprise-level Risk, Issue, and Opportunity data in accordance with customer's risk-related acquisition management processes, standards, and practices as well as supporting individual program acquisition/milestone reviews including and independent program reviews
- Coordinate and execute the customer's Risk, Issue, and Opportunity process in accordance with their standards and practices, including leading and supporting related working groups
- Including conducting both high-level and working-level coordination
- Drafting and coordinating meeting documentation to capture decision making and records keeping such as meeting minutes
- Work closely with other members of the systems engineering team (e.g., Schedule Management, Configuration Control Management, etc.) to support and advise on risk related activities and assessments
- Conduct Risk, Issue, and Opportunity related analysis and reporting assessments as requested/needed; assist program representatives in understanding and properly messaging potential Risks, Issues, and Opportunities
- Assist and advise other enterprise- and programmatic-level teammates on Risk, Issue, and Opportunities responsibilities
- Work with and prepare official documentation to communicate with government customer's external partners on related Risks, Issues, and Opportunities
- Maintain and update Risk, Issue, and Opportunity related policies and procedures
- Advise and assist the customer on the Risk, Issue, and Opportunity related process improvements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in any field of study
- Familiarity with DoD or IC a plus
- Familiarity with Risk, Issue, and Opportunity analysis
- Familiarity with Risk Analysis tool(s) and Risk, Issue, and Opportunity functions
- Familiarity of program control processes for planning, estimating and cost control
- Familiarity of program acquisition lifecycle; preferably in government setting
- Willingness to be a team player with the ability to work unsupervised
- Sound judgment and discretion, possess ability to work on, and collaborate with, cross-functional and multi-disciplinary teams
- Effective communication skills in writing, oral and briefings, as well as proficiency in the use of standard office systems and software products such as Microsoft Office, including SharePoint
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS (not required but nice to have)
- Prior hands-on experience in systems engineering, project controls, contract administration, procurement, and/or project management
