ASRC Federal Professional Services is a premier provider of systems engineering, software engineering, system integration and project management services for Army C5ISR mission-critical systems.

We are seeking a Senior System Engineer tosupport an Army program management office at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team performing a wide range of complex SE services to ensure the PEO C3T is compliant with program requirements and objectives, interoperability requirements, configuration management requirements, and similar Program-Wide responsibilities, including, but not limited to:

    • Capabilities analysis;
    • DOTML-PF efforts;
    • JCIDS;
    • System and/or software integration, platform integration;
    • Interoperability with various C3 systems;
    • Technical or operational testing;
    • Sustainment and refreshment of capabilities;
    • Configuration management, planning and strategy meetings, program review and coordination meetings;
    • General SE, systems implementation planning and system test and evaluation services;
    • Prepare specifications, plans, analyses, modeling, testing, simulations and reports;
    • Review engineering output in the areas of systems level operation and maintenance procedures, performance improvements criteria, tools assessments, metrics management, quality assurance, configuration management, technical orders, and maintenance practices;
    • Conduct SE trade-off analysis;
    • Provide analysis related to the design, development, and integration of hardware, software, man-machine interfaces and all the systems level requirements to provide an integrated solution.
    • Provide IT centric systems engineering and integration expertise on Tactical Radio Systems to include;

      • review of existing engineering/technical procedures and revision;
      • system performance/functional specifications;
      • development and/or implementation of engineering/technical processes; Concept of Operations (CONOPS) definition based on multi-service liaison;
      • architecture and design based on CONOPS, technology, Army Key Management Infrastructure (AKMI), budget, interoperability, and other relevant considerations;
      • hardware, software, cryptographic, and waveform requirements to implement architecture and design;
      • technical data metrics;
      • test planning, coordination, oversight, analysis, and reporting.
    • Assess the progress and risk of SDD and production efforts.
    • Provide knowledge and experience in robust and disciplined IT and RF engineering policies and procedures for procurement and sustainment of systems, subsystems, components, processes, equipment, and technology insertion or planning.
    • Assist in reviewing overall system design baseline and support and conduct engineering performance, effectiveness, cost effectiveness, cost performance, life-cycle cost, predictability, maintainability, supportability, reliability, technical and schedule risk assessment, and scheduling trade-off studies.
    • Support milestone decision reviews and provide knowledge and experience with the product family of Software Defined Radio (SDR) communications, to include but not limited to, the Leader Radio, Manpack, and Combat Net Radio (CNR) Tactical radios and radio requirements.
    • Experience/familiarity with the family of waveforms, including but not limited to SINCGARS, Warrior Robust Enhanced Network (WREN) Narrowband (NB), Tactical Scalable Mobile Ad Hoc NETwork (MANET), the Tactical Scalable Mobile (TSM) and WREN-TSM, Mobile User Objective System (MUOS), and Radio Services products including the enterprise Over The Air Management (eOTAM).
    • Familiarity with development history of waveforms, their requirements, and current configuration/implementation is preferred.

Requirements

  • Education: Master's Degree in one (1) of the following: Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or Business.
  • Work Related Experience: Minimum of 12 years of experience in systems engineering performing a wide array of functions, to include but not limited to: system integration, testing, evaluation, interoperability; familiarity with family of waveforms; reviewing system design baseline; conducting engineering performance, effectiveness, cost performance; etc. Four (4) additional years of direct relevant technical experience may be substituted for education level (i.e. four (4) ADDITIONAL years in lieu of a Master's / eight (8) ADDITIONAL years if no degree).
  • Credentials: Information Assurance Technical (IAT) level II certification
  • DoD Security Clearance: SECRET.
