Job Description

Job Description

We are Lockheed Martin

You will be the Systems Engineer for the Test Planning and Execution (TP&E) team. Our team is responsible for the integration and test of a multitude of capabilities delivered to tactical platforms. The majority of this team's focus is on Mission Systems (MS) software, though there is frequent interfacing with Vehicle Systems software. TP&E provides integrated system level test services to a fast paced Agile software development organization and is often heavily involved in the integration of those services into the whole MS software suite.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Systems Engineer lead you will be guiding the test support for all adopting programs and ensure that program's needs are being met in terms of integration and test coverage. You will be a visionary for system testing and test automation in a modern Agile program and will regularly be challenged to create next-gen solutions to problems that have yet to be encountered.

Your responsibilities will include:• Spearheading the effort to increase the frequency of SW release from quarterly to multiple releases a day, enabled by rigorous automated testing and comprehensive test coverage.• Work closely with government counterparts to understand their needs, desires, and LM's contractual obligations and mobilize the TP&E team accordingly.• Partner with Flight Test counterparts and strive to align the two test organizations in overall test approach.• Implementation of the Digital Thread is enabled by close relationships between Flight Test, Verification, and the Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) teams. Widespread integration of various software tools that each of these teams rely on defines our Digital Thread and you will be fluent in vernacular used in each of those domains.

You will need to be a US Citizen, and currently possess and be able to maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
