We are looking for a talented:

Systems Engineering Specialist (Hybrid)

to join our team specializing in Switchgear controls development for our Power Systems Organization in Fridley/Shoreview, Minnesota.

(Hybrid Role): This role can be done anywhere within United States, however, periodic trips to Fridley, Minnesota will be required.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Design and support, field-testing and design, of our future-looking products
• Be a hands on type of engineer, with the wish to understand the "why" as much as the "how".
• Improve existing machines with the latest in technology, in power distribution applications.
• Utilize CAD to create components needed, for such design activities
• Influence emerging technologies in Energy Management systems
• Evaluate installations and designs for areas of optimization
• Broad based data collection on applications across the globe
• Use your knowledge and understanding, of Energy Management equipment, to develop a deep-level of understanding regarding, our customer's needs, wants, and expectations and drive refinement into new product development.
• Understand how our customers use pieces of equipment.
• Set strategic aim for Customer Integration, in relation to Cummins

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, Preferably Engineering or Technology experience
• College, university, or equivalent degree in Engineering or Technology is preferred, but not limited to. In Leu of a degree, 6 years relevant work experience.
• Experience with CAD / Design skills, would be (A Plus, This represents 20% of the role)
• Data Analytics or Analytical Experience, as well as an understanding of PLCs, HMIs and/or energy management systems (A Plus).
• Be an idea person. Capable of seeing the art of the possible, and not limited in thinking by what is in front of you.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
