HiveWatch is a tech-forward, inclusive organization fostering the evolution of the physical security industry. We are a diverse team of forward thinkers who empower each other to find creative and collaborative solutions in an industry ripe for modernization. We are passionate about the problems we’re solving for our customers and equally passionate about the company we’re building.

HiveWatch is here to help security teams pivot from chasing threats to preventing them. We protect organizations, people, and property through the intelligent orchestration of physical security programs. With better communication, more insights, and less “noise”, we are modernizing what it means for businesses and their employees to truly feel safe.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

HiveWatch is in search of a Systems Engineer to join our Technical Enablement team. The TE team’s mission is to enable the Engineering department’s success through reliable lab infrastructure, tools, & processes. This role specifically focuses on the implementation aspects of our product offering and interfaces with customer technical representatives.

As a Systems Engineer on the Technology Enablement team you will:

  • Build bespoke systems and procedures to proactively identify and respond to nuances in customer environments (infrastructure, network architecture, cybersecurity, etc.)
  • Participate in deployments of HiveWatch’s technical product offering, while collaborating closely with other departments
  • Work with Tech Enablement team members to provide insight to technical and non-technical customer personnel at the intersection of our product and the customer’s use-case
  • Establish familiarity with the integration of Physical Security hardware (including Access Control and Camera Systems) with a hybrid cloud system
  • Gain exposure to InfoSec and compliance topics which directly impact our product roadmap and the goals of the Technology department
  • Collaborate with the team to stage and test our products in realistic customer production-like scenarios

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Exposure to, but not necessarily expertise in, a variety of network topologies and server architectures
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux OS including installation and updates, common administrative utilities, package management, and networking & security administration
  • Experience working with virtualization platforms (VMware ESXi, Proxmox, AHV, etc.)
  • Experience working in one or more major cloud provider environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Networking experience to include troubleshooting, configuring routing, firewall rules & virtual private networks
  • Desire to work on projects with experienced technical personnel both internally and externally facing
  • Enthusiasm to learn new technologies and communicate openly with the greater team
  • Solid knowledge of best troubleshooting principles and premier support skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Experience configuring technical components of SaaS Web Applications in conjunction with customer personnel
  • Experience working directly with Value Added Resellers (VARs) and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to resolve technical issues and gather context for unique integrations
  • Experience working inside of leading Access Control Systems (Lenel, CCURE, Genetec, etc.)
  • Experience working security camera providers and relevant technologies (Axis, Hanwha, Verkada, etc.)
  • Experience with Microsoft Server products, PowerShell, SQL Server, Active Directory, etc.
  • Experience with AWS / Cloud computing / Docker / Kubernetes
  • Experience with distributed systems on a large scale
  • Exposure to SaaS product development, sales, or account management
  • Experience working in an Agile environment (Jira)

ADDITIONAL INFO:

  • Salary range for this position: $120,000 to $140,000 per year
  • Eligible to participate in HiveWatch Equity Incentive Plan

*Final offer will be at the company's sole discretion and determined by multiple factors, including years and depth of relevant experience and expertise, location, and other business considerations.
