Systems Engineer (Windows)

Eagle Seven is seeking a Systems Engineer to assist with the technical design, planning, and implementation of our hardware and operating system strategies. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, have a strong sense of ownership and be driven to provide creative technical solutions to business problems.

Primary Responsibilities include:

• Driving efforts to continuously improve and maintain our Active Directory environment
• Developing solutions to automate and improve operational reliability and efficiency
• Serving as a technical operating system expert, driving change to adopt new standards, maintaining reliability and improving performance metrics
• Providing technical expertise and guidance to improve existing hardware strategy including standards, life-cycle periods, vendor management and capacity planning
• Staying current with the latest technology trends in the industry; propose, evaluate and implement new solutions

Requirements

• Good understanding of architecting and configuring Microsoft Windows OS technology including AD Forests, Domains, Trusts, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy and Organizational Units
• Proven expertise in designing and architecting domain consolidation projects
• Managing the day-to-day administration, support, maintenance and monitoring of the Microsoft Exchange infrastructure
• Experience with WSUS for windows patch management, including drivers and firmware
• Previous automated software provisioning, operating system distribution and asset management
• Architectural design knowledge of storage and backup technologies
• Strong working knowledge of virtualization solutions
• Experience with configuration management systems, such as Salt, Ansible, Puppet, Chef
• Regular work exposure to Python and Git version control
• Previous cloud experience
• Functional knowledge of SQL and working with databases is desirable
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks with high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
• Motivated to identify and problem solve issues in a timely manner
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to develop and present ideas clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical team members
• High degree of flexibility and adaptability; comfortable in a dynamic working environment
• Knowledge of the financial industry is preferred
