Your Role:

As a Systems Engineer at Core One, you will play a pivotal role in architecting, designing, building, delivering, and enhancing highly available, scalable, web-based, and mobile product solutions. Working collaboratively with our team of technical experts, you will have the opportunity to manage and monitor critical systems and infrastructure, ensuring the highest levels of availability and performance. Additionally, you will contribute to the development of cutting-edge cloud and physical network, storage, and system improvements to enhance redundancy, high availability, and security.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Efficiently manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure, both on-premise and at data centers.
• Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
• Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
• Architect and administer production environment Active Directory domain, DNS, and group policy following best practices.
• Deploy and configure Windows Server based operating systems, including additional Windows features and roles, such as IIS, RADIUS, RDS, and DNS, adhering to defined infrastructure standards.
• Monitor and assess application performance for potential bottlenecks, identifying solutions and collaborating with developers for effective implementation.
• Recommend, design, and deploy cloud and physical network, storage, and system improvements to achieve redundancy, high availability, and security.
• Create and maintain custom scripts to enhance system efficiency and reduce human intervention time on tasks.
• Actively participate in new development initiatives, from requirements analysis to design implementation.

Requirements and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field OR 5+ additional years of relevant experience (in lieu of education).
• Proven working experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows and Linux based environments.
• Ability to perform in-depth evaluation and analysis of unique complex technological issues.
• A passion for continuous learning and self-motivation to adapt to evolving business needs.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, enabling you to understand others and express your thoughts clearly.
• Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with LANs and WANs, VTC, VoIP, network security, continuity of operations plans (COOP), governing network policies and guidelines, and network management systems.
• Proficiency in designing group policies and access control lists to ensure compatibility with organizational standards, business rules, and needs.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, virtualization, and containerization.
• Expertise in working with Networking and Data Storage devices.
• Knowledge of automation software (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, etc.).
• Experience working in agile teams and environments.
