The Secure Sensor Solutions (S3) Strategic Business Unit at Raytheon Intelligence & Space supports the warfighter with innovative, secure integrated sensor solutions. These include advanced fire control radars, Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radars, airborne early warning systems, GPS and navigation systems, and embedded secure systems.
Raytheon Intelligence & Space (RIS) is growing! We have an immediate career-growth opportunity for a collaborative and highly skilled Systems Engineering Lead; we hire innovative thinkers wishing to work with emerging technologies on tactical defense solutions recognized around the world.
The Systems Engineering Lead will join our Systems Engineering team in Indianapolis, IN, supporting multiple V22 efforts that includes next generation avionics, software development, and data integration to address our customer's need for rapid capability integration, improved safety postures, digital interoperability and communications. The Systems Engineering Lead represents the Raytheon team in meetings and at events that with the Government and other contractors on the program. The Systems Engineering Lead provides leadership and guidance to a cross-functional Raytheon team, planning and coordinating engineering work that supports the ongoing sustainment of the V22 program including the addition of new enhancements and capabilities.
The Systems Engineering Team will provide technical leadership to the engineering team, serving as a primary point of contact between RIS and key stakeholders external to the organization and between the Agile team(s) and program leadership. The Systems Engineering Lead will work within the Agile(s) team developing requirements, schedules, earned value, and other key performance indices.
You're Highly Skilled In:
Minimum of 8 years related experience in systems or project engineering or program management.
Experience in project management or leading small teams in product development across the program lifecycle
Experience with requirements development, hardware and software integration, and requirements verification.
Experience with test planning, development and automation
Familiarity with Agile and DevOps principles and tools
Familiarity with IBM DOORS, Visio, Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, and other systems engineering and architecture tools
Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
Demonstrated ability to effectively work with and communicate with multiple levels of management and individual contributors on teams
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance with 1 year of starting
U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
You're a Great Match With:
Familiarity with the V-22 aircraft and platform support processes
Experience with MIL Standards including DO-178C/CO-254 standards for avionics
Experience on avionics development, integration and modernization programs
Experience working with government customers including the USMC and USAF
Experience working with Cybersecurity Solutions
Familiarity with Standard Government Deliverable documentation.
Requires advanced to expert knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
