Systems Hardware Engineer
The growth and demand for health monitoring has and will continue to grow exponentially. ADI is well positioned to leverage its core sensor and signal processing technology to take advantage of this growth. We are looking for an energetic System Hardware Engineer who can couple the advanced technologies being developed at ADI to the physiological challenges being presented by the market to develop systems for bio/medical applications.
The candidate:
- Will be working on developing applications specific to healthcare products and platforms for various sectors of the healthcare market. Will need to work with Biomedical Engineers to turn product requirements into clear technical specifications.
- Will be part of a hardware team within a larger system-level development. Must understand proper methodologies for PCB design and layout. Previous exposure to current medical regulations is a plus.
- Will be an active participant in debugging all aspects of mixed-signal hardware/firmware with attention paid to how the design fits into the larger system.
- An ideal candidate has prior exposure to designing and testing optical (pulse oximetry, etc.), biopotential (ECG, EMG, EEG), and bioimpedance (EDA, thoracic impedance, ICG, etc.) sensing systems and applications. A knowledge of systems physiology is a plus.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Translating requirements into clear technical specifications
- Designing of Hardware to support measuring human vital signs including heart rate, temperature, respiratory and cardio systems. Understanding the Firmware required for proper operation of the Hardware is a plus.
- Interface with design, test, application, software, and marketing teams as the product(s) move from design to completion and distribution.
- Perform lab analysis and evaluation of new products, working with a multi-functional team to identify, simulate, and correct functional and parametric problems.
- Develop bench evaluation and automation capability to allow for performance measurements
- Create Verification/Validation plans by developing a thorough understanding of the system-under-test ensuring robustness for the release of products.
Qualifications:
Must possess a Bachelor's or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering with Electrical Experience
