KBR is seeking a System Engineering Technical Assistance (SETA) candidate to provide systems engineering and technical assistance support in leading-edge SIGINT satellite systems program. The candidate will be the lead test and integration engineer to perform enterprise and system level testing of space vehicle components and systems and perform a variety of engineering work in the development of an operable system capable of meeting requirements within imposed constraints. Researches subsystem interfaces to ensure that subsystems are integrated and work together to form a viable complete system. SIGINT domain experience is required.

You will work in a small, highly empowered team where every team member is directly responsible for the success of the program. Engineering responsibilities span technology domains including space rated hardware, software, sensors, and processors in an extremely fast-paced, responsive development environment. This SETA candidate will have in-depth integration and test background on satellite vehicle bus and/or RF subsystems to improve program office insight into state-of-the art IC, DoD, commercial and legacy space vehicle systems.

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee system and subsystem assembly, integration and testing of operational hardware during system development and preparation for demonstrations and fielding.
• Collect test data, perform data reduction, and evaluate system performance. Create tools and scripts to aid in data reduction and system evaluation.
• Provide technical support in developing verification and test approaches as well as reviewing test data for requirements verification.
• Coordinate platform integration activities with Program Management and assist in the development and maintenance of an integrated master schedule.
• Monitor subsystem, payload and bus environments and ground systems for integration
• Generate system integration and test procedures, present procedures to peers and customer for review.
• Support implementing, maintaining, and monitoring program office-wide engineering, verification, and testing processes, engineering and technical interactions with external directorates and agencies, and supporting independent engineering reviews of external programs
• Troubleshoot issues and provide solutions and corrective actions.
• Must be able to work self-directed.
• May lead trade studies, system performance and design evaluations. Perform CONOPS development, mission analysis, and evaluate Human Machine interfaces.
• Prepare and present technical materials in support of System Requirement Review (SRR), Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR), and other program reviews.
• Develops system and subsystem architectures(s), critical interfaces (ICDs).

Minimum Qualifications:

• System Engineering Technical Assistance (SETA) to Government program office
• Experience in planning and executing test campaigns for space systems
• Minimum six (6) years related experience
• SIGINT domain experience with experience interacting with mission partners
• Experience with Statements of Work (SOW), requirements, Integrated Master Schedules, and development of test procedures
• Fluency with IC organizations

Desired Qualifications:

• Minimum ten (10) years DoD/IC work experience

• Experience using Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
• Understanding of operational environment and corresponding mission user needs
• Knowledge of system engineering, development, and manufacturing requirements
• Experiencewith software systems engineer best practices
• Experience in program management including program development and transition

Education

Minimum Requirements:

• An applicable BS engineering degree from a program accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) or possess a Professional Engineering license

Clearance:

• Active TOP SECRET clearance with sensitive compartmentalized information (SCI) and a Counter-Intelligence polygraph
• Candidate must maintain a TS/SCI clearance as a condition of employment

Location/Travel Requirements:

• May require travel up to 30% of time within the continental United States
