This position with our local NYC team is focused on Next Generation 9-1-1 Solutions. Our VESTA® Router Service provides 9-1-1 Authorities the cornerstone to their NG9-1-1 transitions in a way that fits their resources, budgets and timelines. Job Description

The Software & Service Implementation team comprises Project Management, System Engineering, Field Engineers and Operational Support personnel working together in a high performance culture, often with demanding cycle times and high customer expectations because we are working on mission critical communication systems.

This Senior Systems Integration Engineer position will take responsibility for integration efforts and subsystem deployments and oversee technical aspects of all assigned projects from award until system acceptance.

Position Duties:

• Participate in project and technical meetings with the customer during design, test and implementation phases of the program.

• Gather and validate requirements for all assigned projects/products.

• Track technical requirements through the use of RTVMs.

• Produce system design documentation based on requirements.

• Develop integration and test processes and policies.

• Provide Estimates of Effort for all integration engineering activities.

• Provide technical expertise for the resolution of complex problems.

• Work with cross functional teams to resolve technical issues and schedule conflicts.

• Participate in reviews and audits to ensure the highest quality work products.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree (BSEE/BSCE/BSCS preferred)

• Experience working with distributed-system architectures for federated software (cloud, co-located or hybrid-cloud environments) and both physical and virtual networks.

• Knowledge of VMware, Windows, and container solutions (VCD,NSX-T).

• Understanding of Project Management fundamentals.

• Awareness of Customer expectations and ability to effectively engage and lead customer focused meetings.

• Excellent communications skills and the ability to present complex topics to nontechnical audiences.

Basic Requirements

• 3+ years of Systems Engineering or Systems Integration experience

• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
