Program Description

This program provides SETA (Systems Engineering Technical Advisor) & SE&I (Systems Engineering & Integration) services to an IC customer with a focus on assured space communications and supporting IT infrastructure. This is primarily broken into four major divisions including systems engineering, acquisition, mission operations, and security support. Systems engineering support focuses on the end-to-end processes for managing programs, including Readiness, Configuration Management, integrated master schedule, systems analysis, future studies and innovations. Acquisition support is focused on helping government COTRs in all aspects of managing development contracts to deliver capabilities that meeting requirements. Mission operations roles include the support to integrating new capabilities into operations and leading anomalies response teams when issues arise. Security support is focus on ensuring IT systems comply with the agency's IT Security policy (ICD-503) with personnel certified to information assurance security standards.

This position is on the E-team and is primarily focused on systems level testing of software systems on the E-program. The system technology is primary focused on RF space communications and digital signal processing capabilities. This systems engineering, test and integration position is responsible for managing the system level testing program for a specific mission area. This involves coordinating with all the stakeholders to understand the build plans for each segment, establishing system level test plans to focus on Significant changes and verifying system function prior to transition to operations. During testing, this position plays an integral role as both test director and test conductor. Support for operational testing is an important role requiring extensive coordination with users, development contractors, and government customers. This involves regular communications and working with Operations to coordinate testing and the final delivery of new capabilities to fulfill user requirements. Individuals will become familiar with various systems architectures and eventually act as subject matter experts in advising the government clients on integration and testing related decisions. This position is in Springfield, VA.

Qualifications

• Relevant Experience: 10 to 12 years with BS or 8 to 10 years with MS or 5 to 7 years with a PhD
• Clearance required: TS/SCI with CI Poly
• (4 years of relevant experience in an RF space communications development/acquisition program can be substituted)
• Technical BS in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical degree.
• Experience in integration and testing of systems involving multiple segments.
• The ability to work well within a team of engineers
• Demonstrated success in working with government customers.

Desired

• 5 years of experience with Commercial/Government test and integration of satellite/ground systems or segment hardware/software
• BS in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Computer Science.
• Prior experience as a SETA with NUO IC agency customer working with testing, developing test plans, verifying requirements, and other related readiness processes.
• Prior experience with RF based satellite communications.
• Prior experience with digital signal processing.
• Prior agile development experience.
