Impact in this Role

The Business Applications team performs a critical function for Fictiv by managing software that is part of the framework used to conduct day-to-day business across the organization. As a member of this team, you’ll partner closely with cross functional stakeholders to ensure that business systems software is properly secured and has managed change control to meet their changing needs.

What You’ll Be Doing

The Systems Integrator (MuleSoft Specialist) will create integrations for multiple cross functional Business Applications teams to support workflows and data transfer between systems including Salesforce, NetSuite, Marketo, OKTA, Slack, Asana, Snowflake, Atlassian and Fictiv’s Platform application in support of business needs.

A vital component of this position is mapping business requirements to technical requirements for integrations and designing integrations to meet these requirements. As well, you will implement those designs and will guide the implementation through the software development lifecycle from development and testing through production release as you adhere to meeting SDLC best practice standards. Additionally, you will analyze project objectives, create new integrations, and troubleshoot errors.

Develop strong cross-functional stakeholder relations as you mentor other engineers in using MuleSoft Anypoint connectors to develop integrations. Take ownership of the stability, security, data accuracy, uptime, and issue resolution for all Anypoint integration implementations.

Additional area of responsibility include:

• Serve as the Subject Matter Expert with responsibility for leveraging the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform to build and maintain integrations that connect the Fictiv’s SaaS business systems and cloud platform.
• Create integrations with the Anypoint connectors for Salesforce, Netsuite, Marketo, OKTA, Slack, Asana, Snowflake, Atlassian and various other pre-built connectors.
• Create integrations by creating connectors that consume APIs (including REST, RPC and GraphQL APIs).
• Partner with the Product, Engineering and Infrastructure teams to provide the team guidance and specific expertise, in your specialty area, with regard to development practices, QC testing in development environments, software specific standards, customization approaches and integration approaches.
• Design, develop, test, document and maintain integration flows through all development and production environments, using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform using capabilities such as the Mule Runtime 3.8+, Connectors, Design Center, and API management.
• Collaborate and review code with other business applications and product engineering teams to ensure each integration maintains a consistent level of technical standards as set by the team.
• Communicate technical details clearly to various stakeholders of different technical expertise (solution architects, sales engineers, project managers, etc.)
• Ensure that integrations are designed and implemented as reusable building blocks as appropriate to allow for more efficient integrations of a similar type.
• Maintain the reliability and uptime of your integrations through gap analysis and on-call shifts.
• Own the stability of the integrations, adhering to Engineering standards and provide incident management, monitoring, alerting and incident resolution for all aspects of the integration.
• Create timelines, set expectations, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Engineering to ensure changes to event implementations and integrations are gracefully handled.
• Maintain the security and data integrity of the integrations.
• Research, Diagnose, and Monitor performance bottlenecks.
• Serve as a mentor to less technical stakeholders with best practices.
• Develop documentation and provide technical training for cross-functional teams.

Desired Traits

• B.S. in Computer Science or a related field, or Professional Qualification/ or one or more MuleSoft Certification(s) (Mule 4, Mule 3, RAML 1.0)
• 4 years of hands on MuleSoft Integration experience in transforming complex strategic business requirements into workable technology solutions
• 5+ years of API-led methodology and web services development experience
• 7+ years of experience in the enterprise application domain
• Solid understanding of SOA design principles, integration patterns and messaging systems.
• Experience measuring planned integrations and estimating expected vCore requirements and SLA given QPS, data volume, design, etc.
• Development, design, testing, implementation and documentation experience using Anypoint Studio, Connectors, Message Queue, OAuth, Scopes, Routers, Flows and Error Handling, Mule batch jobs, DataWeave, multi-threaded processes using Mule batch jobs, flow processing strategies etc.
• Integration specialist with experience working with multiple Mule connectors such as Salesforce, NetSuite, Atlassian, Data Warehouse, HTTP Listener/Requestor, Database, File, SFTP, etc.
• Understanding of MuleSoft Enterprise Security and other security features (such as policies, roles, etc.)
• Knowledge of data structure and data management practices (maps, caches, ETL)
• Extensive experience in API-led development and experience building foundations across systems as Pub-Sub model, create readily usable APIs to be used across inside the organization
• Exposure and knowledge of end-to-end DevOps and MuleSoft scopes, core Java with collections and CI/CD processes using tools such as Maven, GIT, Jenkins, and Cloud Hub
• MuleSoft Application Packaging and Deployment Strategies experience
