Job Title: DevOps Planner
Job Summary:
A DevOps Planner is responsible for strategically planning and coordinating DevOps activities within an organization. They work closely with development, operations, and quality assurance teams to optimize software development and delivery processes, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvement.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- DevOps Strategy: Collaborate with senior management and DevOps team to define, refine, and execute the organization's DevOps strategy.
- Process Optimization: Identify inefficiencies in software and systems development and deployment processes and implement improvements to streamline workflows.
- Pipeline Design: Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate system builds, testing, and deployment.
- Release Planning: Work with development teams to plan and coordinate release schedules, ensuring smooth and error-free deployments.
- Tool Selection: Evaluate, recommend, and implement DevOps tools and technologies that align with the organization's goals and requirements.
- Collaboration: Foster collaboration and communication between development, operations, and quality assurance teams to facilitate the DevOps culture.
- Monitoring and Metrics: Implement monitoring and metrics solutions to track the performance of software systems and pipelines, and use data to drive improvements.
- Security Integration: Ensure security practices are integrated into the DevOps processes, including code scanning, vulnerability assessments, and compliance checks.
- Documentation: Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation for DevOps processes, procedures, and workflows.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with DevOps processes and recommend risk management strategies.
- Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement by analyzing feedback, metrics, and industry best practices to enhance DevOps processes.
- Training and Education: Provide training and mentorship to team members on DevOps principles, tools, and best practices.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Proven experience in a DevOps or related role, with a strong understanding of DevOps concepts and practices.
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools and practices.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and technologies
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience with agile methodologies is a plus.
- Knowledge of Turvo, GP Analytics, VIP & Mulesoft a plus
- Certifications in DevOps or related fields are advantageous.
