As part of our growing Technical Support team, we are seeking a HVAC Controls Product Support Engineer to support & provide technical support for several of our Controls & HVAC products. Some of these include Verasys, and SSE Controls
What you will do
- Provide phone support for Commercial Unitary Equipment, and Rooftop package units
- Assist distributors, contractors and JCI branches with product support, product commissioning and system troubleshooting.
- Interact with factory engineers on product issues and document issues for reporting and teamwork.
- Provide technical support for Johnson Controls products and solutions to both branch offices and selected partners within the US.
- Provide an avenue to resolve customer complaints in a timely, effective manner.
How you will do it
- Provide technical support by telephone, e-mail, MS-Teams etc. and record all calls in the call tracking software provided
- Assist distributors, contractors and JCI branches with product support, product commissioning and system troubleshooting.
- Interact with factory engineers on product issues and document issues for reporting and teamwork.
- Provide technical support for Johnson Controls products and solutions to both branch offices and selected partners within the US.
- Report and record product and literature problems in the product problem tracking database, ensuring that the problem description is detailed enough to allow development engineers to analyze or reproduce the reported problem
- Advise management of potentially critical problems so that preventative measures can be taken
- Participate at product deployment meetings as required.
- Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure that branches/ customers receive the help, information, or solution that they require
- Build and maintain training material
- Keep up to date with current technological trends and standards
What we look for
Required
- 5 years plus of experience or equivalent
- Degree or certification in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering, or equivalent combined education and experience.
- Good knowledge of HVAC systems in commercial or Industrial buildings
- Ability to understand product BOMs, mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and design specifications
- Experience in reviewing design plans and specifications with a background in HVAC Controls
