Systems Specialist

FOUND Study is a privately-owned provider of affordable student and intern housing. FOUND Study offers comfortable single rooms and co-living spaces in major cities, including New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Providence, Miami Beach, San Francisco, Oakland, Los Angeles, and San Diego with more to come. Facilities are amenity-loaded and in prime locations for the lifestyles of students and interns.

Housing is available by the semester, summer, or academic year. Spaces are rented through strategic partnerships between FOUND and higher education partners outsourcing operations and facilities management and directly to undergraduate and graduate students seeking accommodations.

The Housing Systems Specialist will be responsible for management of enterprise and non-enterprise applications, most importantly, the housing management software StarRez. This position will also be expected to design and develop new systems by configuring new hardware and software or use existing systems in new ways to achieve strategic business goals.

Job Duties:

StarRez Management

· Be an advanced end user of StarRez, including system upkeep and customizations.

· Responsible for general system maintenance tasks required periodically throughout the year, including updating reports and dashboards.

· Responsible for updates of data that cannot be automated.

· Write, update, and format reports in StarRez for internal and external stakeholders using SQL.

· Responsible for daily system maintenance and reporting.

· Configure, text, and maintain database automation processes/workflows.

· Manage data integration.

· Serve as liaison between FOUND Study and StarRez.

· Manage usage of annual allocation of StarCare training hours.

· Create and update training materials, provide training to relevant staff.

· Perform bulk data imports; audit and maintain data integrity in StarRez.

Other Responsibilities

· Support other Information Technology applications managed by FOUND Study, including but not limited to Yardi, HubSpot, Notifii, and Community.

· System knowledge and configuration, vendor engagement, contract renewal, vendor upgrades, and troubleshooting.

· Overseeing implementation and coordinating tests of systems.

· Identify areas of efficiency and streamline technological processes to result in smoother functionality.

· Coordinate with vendors to troubleshoot and correct system issues that arise in a timely manner.

· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree with 2-3 years related work experience.

· Experience managing the StarRez platform.

· Master’s degree and experience with higher education systems preferred.

· Able to communicate well and build rapport with team members.

· Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information.

· Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Salary: $75,000-$85,000 annual salary. This is an on-site role in New York City. Health benefits and housing options available.
