Systems Support Specialist Development

Job Description:

This position requires an analytical and technical oriented individual to assist in the implementation and maintenance of HIM

systems and processes. Provides support in the evaluation, installation, analysis, and maintenance of HlM

networking and computer infrastructure. Provides support for the integration of multiple hardware and

operating system platforms. Provides assistance m the implementation and troubleshooting of HIM Local

Area Network, HIM software and hardware components. Ensures information system standards are met for

all integrated systems and provides training to various applications. Ensures network security, backup, and

restoration measures are upheld. Assiss in the development and implementation of corrective measures to

ensure system integrity and operational efficiency. This position supports operational, analytical and

technical aspects of Health lnfonnation Management functions to a diverse audience.

Education/ Requirements:

High School diploma/ GED required

Associates degree preferred

• Knowledge of basic hardware configurations , database management tools and query language

• Know l edge of network operations for LAN/WAN / SAN

• Support of (Elekta Metriq, P"'C Systematic Monitoring and Review

Techniques - SMART, Accutrac - formally known as CT&D, 3M Code 3 - Web and Windows versions , Phoenix

Medcom Dictation/T r anscription System, Microsoft Outlook, McKesson Horizon Patient Folder Package - EPF,

EPF Web DCS / QCI, l CU, Reports Managers, ROI Module, NYCMED EVERS, Streamline ECHARMS , EPIC ,

etc)

• Support of Current and Future HIM Hardware . CPU (HP 6200 PRO, HP 8000 ECM/SFF, HP DC7700 SFF,

HP EliteDesk 800 GI SFF, etc), Monitors, Cisco IP and Norstar Phones, Scanners (Fujitsu fi- 4340 , SI 20, 6130,

6140, Kodak i2400, Be ll & Howell 8100, Kodak Ngenuity 9150), Mouse, Keyborads, Biopods (utilized with

EVERS) , Presentation TV/LCD, ClickShare, etc .
