Job Details:
Job Summary: Coordinates and implements System Test activities across multiple projects. Leads and manages test projects and automation initiatives. The incumbent will work with engineering teams to develop system requirements analysis, system configuration data, and automated and manual test cases to ensure required system performance and reliability standards are designed, implemented, and verified. Will drive design, development and test activities from the system requirements view. Additional duties include the implementation of tools suitable for increasing the efficiency of system testing, and developing and tracking system test metrics. This position will typically work under limited supervision and direction. Incumbents of this position will regularly exercise discretionary and substantial decision-making authority.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manages the evaluation of design and requirements for test parameters.
- Leads the effort in developing automated test tools to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of software testing backed up by metrics to quantify the results.
- Develops early phase integration testing strategies to assist engineers in debugging their early code.
- Drives the requirements analysis through test and engineering to ensure all team members are aware of the requirements and are implementing code to satisfy the requirements.
- Develops strategies and tools to determine system and device reliability and performance.
- Ensures all KPIs are addressed in the code and verified in the testing.
- Works with hardware engineering to mitigate the obsolescence impact of parts in systems.
- Ensures all statutory and regulatory standards are met in system design and implementation.
- Manages the preparation of a test plan and procedures based on the design parameters to be verified.
- Ensures that tests are conducted in accordance with established project-based standards and that all discrepancies are documented.
- Ensures proper verification of discrepancies in the project labs.
- Oversees the preparation of a comprehensive project test reports.
- Oversees the preparation of test status reports and dashboards.
- Prepares weekly project status to upper test dept. manager/upper management.
- Manages and participate in the scheduling of the staffing and resources needs necessary for project testing. Including hardware, software, media, people, space, time, tools.
- Works with vendors providing test support services.
- Ensures prepared test plans and procedures are complete based on the design parameters.
- Mentors the junior members of the team based on an established personal development plan.
- Provides visibility into team accomplishments to people outside the team.
- Provides technical feedback on System Test team members' work.
- Manages the analysis of field test data and production of test reports on the results and/or recommendations for design improvements.
- Demonstrates full knowledge of the project system architecture, the applicable system and interface standards
- Demonstrates thorough understanding of the project requirements. Be well versed with defining test specifications and test instructions based on changing or incomplete project requirements.
- Demonstrates solid knowledge of the configuration process, software download process, and upgrade process, especially as they related to specific project requirements.
- Manages the definition of the project test environment, test configuration. Demonstrates excellent skills in using trouble shooting test equipment.
- Understands and influences project requirements.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Four-year college degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, or other related technical discipline plus a minimum of eight years of experience in QA software testing and web based applications with demonstrated productivity and results. Requires knowledge of software test engineering and knowledge of software compilers, architecture, embedded processing, and operating systems. Must possess the physical ability to work on a computer for extended periods of time. Experience with JAVA, C/C++, C#, .Net, TCP/IP, UNIX, XML, databases, and SQL is desired. Knowledge of TestRail and Jira. Must also possess the mental ability to analyze complex engineering software and be able to prioritize and conduct multiple tasks under deadline and budget constraints. Previous lead/supervisory experience. Strong oral and written communication skills are necessary. Available for occasional travel both foreign and domestic.

Additional Information
Targeted full-time salary range between $ 131,762 - $ 191,003 + benefits.

The Cubic pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
