Job Description
Unissant is looking for a Tableau Architect to join our team in the National Capital Region in support of a federal customer. This is a remote position at this time and is expected to remain mostly remote.
Successful applicant must comply with federal contractor vaccine mandate requirements.
*This position is contingent upon contract award.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build data visualization capabilities and utilities, leveraging and configuring Tableau.
- Provide Subject Matter Expert leadership and recommendations to customers and team with respect to managing large data sources, building and configuring modern data visualization, analytic utilities and customized business intelligence solutions.
- Design, develop, test, implement, and troubleshoot ETL mappings and workflows in a large Data Warehouse environment.
- Understand how management, operations, and customers utilize the data.
- Partner with cross functional teams to identify requirements.
- Scope, prioritize, and coordinate activities with product owners.
- Design performance visualization dashboards, applications, and storytelling.
- Deliver visualization capabilities as a Visual Data Analysis expert.
- Work as part of an Agile team and environment, including a variety of stakeholders across programs.
- Provide quality and consistent service to the customer.
- Support strategic business development activities.
Work Experience:
- Experience in building dashboard utility capabilities, with specific knowledge and experience required in Tableau.
- Experience in Power BI and Qlik is desired.
- Experience with data management and data analytics.
- Experience transforming operational metrics into data visualizations.
- Experience using Tableau Prep, Data Security and Permissions on Tableau Server.
- Experience in Enterprise Architecture for large-scale multi-applications/systems environments.
- Strong database experience, data analysis and analytical skills.
- Experience creating ETL design documentation and maintaining overall design document and deliverables.
- Experience in Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, and Information Management concepts.
- Experience reviewing and improving the quality of all the team deliverables.
- Experience with Scrum, collaborating with multiple teams and customers.

Education:
- BS or MS within Information Systems related discipline is desired.
- Visual Analytics training and/or certifications are a plus.
Certificates, Licenses & Registrations:
- Ability to obtain the Public Trust Clearance.
Communication Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written skills are required.
- Solid ability to interface, inspire and motivate at various levels of the organization.
- Ability to convey technical information to non-technical individuals.
- Ability to communicate effectively across internal and external organizations.
Travel:
- Willing to travel occasionally as needed (up to 10%).
Environmental Requirements:
- Mainly sedentary, in an office environment.
- May be required to lift up to ten (10) pounds.
- Flexible in working extended hours.
