Tableau Developer

NewGen is seeking a Tableau Developer to join their customer's team.

Remote - COVID-19 considerations: The team is currently working remote. Once restrictions are lifted and the client provides additional guidance, the team member must be willing to commute to the client site or an office location in the DC metropolitan area.

In search of a seasoned professional with six years or more of experience who has deep financial data analysis and Tableau/data visualization skills. The consultant must have strong Federal finance background while having the ability to configure, develop and maintain Tableau dashboards while having the abilities to dissect, transform and comprehend large volumes of data from Microsoft Excel into Tableau. The consultant requires very good writing and communication skills and have the ability to present to high level client executives. The position is for a project team at a Federal Government agency in the DC metro area focusing on audit remediation, data analytics, internal control and assessments of financial business processes.

The consultant should have the: • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders to design and build visualizations • Ability to generate and evaluate user requirements, identify data sources to support requirements, and build data extracts • Ability to create reports and data analytics solutions • Ability to look at large amounts of data and identify/understand relevant trends • Ability to use a combination of SQL/Tableau Prep or similar ETL tools to process and restructure data for integration with Tableau • Ability to design innovative data visualizations and dashboards in Tableau that will assist in data analysis and help with programmatic and financial decisions based on year-over- year, month-over-month and current trends and data results • Ability to work independently and work well with a team and execute tasks based on direction from task lead or supervisor is required.

Experience: 6 or more years

Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Business Management, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or another applicable field
