Tableau Implementation Specialist

Experfy has an immediate need for a Tableau implementation specialist who will provide expertise in visualization development and deployment in a challenging Tableau environment. Resource will work with the visualization team to produce one or more public facing real-time dashboards focused on municipal finance using Tableau Desktop and Online, with the final product(s) posted to Tableau Public. Must have the ability to provide training and guidance for resources to be able to create and post visualizations and periodically refresh the data in this unique development environment.

Requirements

Responsibilities and qualifications shall include:

• Perform on the job training on best practices and additional techniques for creating in Tableau Desktop and Tableau Online environment and publishing to the Tableau Public environment
• Explore and recommend alternative views and enhancements to dashboards or licensing model
• Provide guidance to DLS reporting team on:
• Identify the most efficient way to publish public-facing visualizations with dynamic data, given the DOR's current Tableau licensing and implementation model
• Move visualizations from Tableau Desktop to Online to Public with minimal redevelopment effort
• Best ways to structure data to create online data sources
• Methods and best practices for periodically refreshing data in Tableau Public visualizations
• Building a functional and interactive dashboard using Tableau Online that can be posted to Tableau Public with no loss of functionality
• Dashboard development best practices for Tableau Online and Public
