Job Description

Overview

The Talent Acquisition Advisor plays a critical role in supporting Brookfield Residential’s hiring strategy by collaborating closely with Hiring Managers and HR Business Partners to meet the organization’s staffing needs across U.S. and Canadian markets. Responsible for full-cycle recruitment, the advisor utilizes proactive sourcing strategies to identify, screen, and interview top talent. With a commitment to an exceptional candidate experience, this role brings market insights and expertise to the talent acquisition process, guiding candidates and hiring partners seamlessly through offers, background checks, and the onboarding initiation.
 

Key Deliverables

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand and anticipate talent needs, providing strategic insights to enhance recruitment effectiveness. Offer guidance on the recruitment process, including best practices, legal requirements, candidate selection, interview coaching, presenting offers, and managing rejections.
  • Work closely with HR Business Partners to support job leveling, compensation strategies, and business needs across Land & Housing
  • Maintain & Leverage relationships with educational institutions and external partners, including job boards and recruitment firms, to strengthen our talent pipeline and increase outreach.
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment processes, including candidate sourcing, conducting phone and in-person interviews, overseeing employment checks and assessments, facilitating candidate selection, negotiating and presenting offers, and onboarding new hires.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data input to ATS system and ensure data consistency
  • Develop and manage pipelines of qualified candidates for high-demand and future roles, actively sourcing through digital platforms and networking to build relationships with potential candidates.
  • Leverage talent mapping and market research to identify passive candidates and maintain an active roster of ready-to-hire talent for anticipated needs.


Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, diploma, or certification in Business, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3-5 years of recruitment experience, ideally in a corporate setting
  • Proficiency in candidate sourcing across diverse digital platforms
  • Hands-on experience with advanced Applicant Tracking Systems, especially Workday, LinkedIn Recruiter, and Indeed Smart Sourcing
  • Enthusiasm and curiosity for the construction and real estate sectors
  • Dedication to fostering an inclusive workplace culture and supporting diversity in hiring
  • Excellent communication skills, strong project management abilities, and a commitment to providing a standout candidate experience
