POLITICO is seeking a Talent Acquisition Associate to join our recruiting team and support the organization in hiring the best talent. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual looking to explore or pursue a career in recruiting.

The Talent Acquisition Associate is responsible for developing and executing talent acquisition initiatives, like the candidate experience and competitive intelligence analysis, while supporting the team from a scheduling and sourcing standpoint. He or she will have the opportunity to work on other parts of the talent attraction strategy, including diversity outreach initiatives, university partnerships, and employer branding.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills, and is coachable and enthusiastic about his or her work. Our recruiting team is a collaborative and fast-paced group, and there are many opportunities to grow within POLITICO from it.

What You'll Do:

  • Coordinate and schedule candidate virtual and in-person interviews with hiring managers
  • Utilize various sourcing techniques, including LinkedIn Recruiter, to identify and attract top talent for a variety of roles
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition Partners and hiring managers to develop and implement recruitment strategies
  • Update and maintain the applicant tracking system (ATS) with accurate candidate information
  • Attend and participate in recruitment events as needed

  • Manage the candidate interview feedback process and provide regular updates to candidates and hiring managers
  • Collaborate with the Talent Team to ensure a seamless and positive candidate experience
  • Oversee the recruiting competitive intelligence process and update the Talent Team about key findings.

What You'll Need:

  • An interest to dive into the world of recruitment and a passion for meeting new people
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including candidates and hiring managers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to think creatively and pivot in a fast-paced environment
  • Enthusiastic, positive, and solutions-driven approach to work.

This position is based out of our Arlington, Virginia headquarters in a hybrid model.
