GENERAL ROLE DESCRIPTION

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support Wild Alaskan’s priorities, goals, values, and culture by continuously improving the hiring process to ensure positive experiences for all stakeholders. 
  • Collaborate with the Leadership team and hiring managers on the hiring roadmap, building ideal candidate profiles, screening and vetting incoming candidates 
  • Work closely with People Operations to evaluate, execute, and continuously improve hiring and onboarding 
  • Develop creative sourcing strategies, plans and pipelines to support team growth, proactively searching for passive candidates to build out a pipeline before urgent hiring needs arise 
  • Create and maintain compelling job descriptions and postings 
  • Act as the first point of contact and face of the company for all candidates; own the candidate experience; act as the face of Wild Alaskan for our future team members 
  • In cross functional collaboration across the company, continuously improve Wild Alaskan’s employer brand and employee value proposition 
  • Champion diversity and culture in all aspects of the employee lifecycle and assist with strategies for attracting, hiring and retaining diverse talent 
  • Track candidate referrals and follow up as needed 
  • Generate and present reports to Leadership on talent acquisition and retention. 
  • Identify tools and processes to increase the effectiveness of the Talent Acquisition function
  • Continuously improve a hiring roadmap and collaborate frequently with the Leadership team to prioritize hiring efforts in alignment with departmental staffing budgets 
  • Build and maintain knowledge of competitive target companies and keep abreast of relevant trends in DTC eCommerce companies 
  • Develop and implement a consistent set of recruiting policies and interview techniques best practices 
  • Other related duties as and when required

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: 


  • At least three years direct sourcing experience in eCommerce or tech generally, with a demonstrated ability to build robust pipeline of diverse qualified candidates for a variety of positions at different levels 
  • Prior experience with Greenhouse or similar ATS 
  • Deep understanding of the recruiting lifecycle and process with knowledge of how to optimize systems for effectiveness and efficiency 
  • Hustle; self-starter able to coordinate multiple stakeholders and keep projects moving, energized by high-volume work flows 
  • Excellent understanding of the business; proven team orientation with collaborative style; able to maturely handle critical and confidential information 
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a warm, energetic and empathetic personality 
  • Organization, detail orientation and the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment 
  • A results-oriented mindset, using data to drive continuous improvement in efforts 
  • Experience working in a high-growth, culture-driven environment preferred 
  • A passion for building outstanding teams and delivering an exceptional candidate experience 
  • Familiarity with performance management and relevant software
