What This Role is About: We have ambitious plans, and we need to grow our team across multiple functions to meet our goals. This critical role will be highly cross-functional, working with employees, HR, and our executive leadership team to help us attract and hire a diverse pool of top talent. As the first point of contact for applicants, we are looking for a highly engaging, organized individual who embodies Puffco's values. The successful candidate will have a track record of sourcing the best and brightest, will have a keen eye for fit with Puffco culture, and will be able to manage both internal recruiting processes and external recruiters as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the point person for all recruiting activities, whether the searches are led internally or with external partners
- Assist hiring managers with job requirements, descriptions, and postings, as well as interview scheduling
- Source candidates, screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, and provide baseline assessments of candidates' skills, experience, and relevant knowledge as compared to job requirements
- Streamline processes and procedures for candidate tracking, management, and onboarding
- Assist with onboarding, including presenting new hire paperwork, benefits offerings, and company policies
- Report to management on status of searches, relevant talent acquisition KPIs, and recruiting costs
- Liaise with recruiting firms, including managing contract and price negotiations, tracking progress, scheduling interviews, etc.
- Assist with compliance with federal, state, and local employment and wage laws and regulations, and maintain office policies as needed
Qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor's degree plus at least three years managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process, or equivalent
- Proven track record acquiring talent at companies scaling for growth is essential
- Knowledge of talent acquisition systems and procedures typical for a growing company
- Working knowledge of employment laws and regulations
- SHRM Talent Acquisition credential a plus
- Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Outlook, in particular)
- Outstanding time management skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize work, and proven ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment
- A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements
