This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Talent Acquisition Manager based in Canada.
In this role, you will step into a high-impact position where you will shape and scale the entire recruitment function during a period of strong organizational growth. You will be responsible for both hands-on hiring and strategic talent initiatives, with a strong emphasis on Product and Engineering recruitment. Acting as a key partner to leadership and hiring managers, you will influence how talent is sourced, assessed, and hired across multiple teams. This is a highly collaborative and fast-moving environment where agility, precision, and strong judgment are essential. You will also play a critical role in improving hiring processes, strengthening interview quality, and building scalable recruitment practices. Your work will directly impact the company’s ability to attract and retain top-tier talent in a competitive market. Accountabilities:
In this role, you will own the full Talent Acquisition function while remaining deeply involved in day-to-day hiring execution across technical and non-technical roles, particularly within Product and Engineering teams. You will partner closely with hiring managers and leadership to define hiring needs, align on candidate profiles, and ensure roles are filled efficiently and effectively.
- Lead the end-to-end Talent Acquisition strategy, execution, and continuous improvement across the organization
- Own full-cycle recruiting for key roles, with a strong focus on Product and Engineering hiring
- Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, success profiles, and hiring priorities
- Drive proactive sourcing strategies including outbound search, referrals, networking, and talent pipeline development
- Improve hiring workflows, interview structures, and calibration processes to ensure consistency and quality
- Use recruitment data, funnel metrics, and market insights to inform decisions and optimize hiring performance
- Build and maintain recruiting dashboards and reporting to support leadership visibility and planning
- Collaborate closely with People and leadership teams in a fast-paced, highly iterative environment
- 1–2+ years of experience in a Talent Acquisition Manager, Recruitment Lead, or equivalent senior recruiting role
- Proven experience hiring for Product and Engineering roles in startup or high-growth environments
- Strong ability to assess technical talent and evaluate long-term team fit
- Experience improving hiring processes, interview quality, and recruiter/hiring manager alignment
- Comfortable working in a lean, hands-on People team with shifting priorities and evolving needs
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trusted partnerships
- Data-driven mindset with experience using recruitment metrics to guide decisions
- Resourceful, proactive, and solutions-oriented approach to solving hiring challenges
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple searches simultaneously
- Competitive total compensation package of $104,500 – $132,000 CAD (based on experience)
