Job Description

You will be an integral part of the Talent Acquisition team working closely with recruiters, hiring managers and candidates as you help move candidates through our recruiting process. In addition to your connection with hiring managers and candidates streamlining the process from application to final disposition, you will be an active participant in career fairs, hiring events and other recruitment activities designed to ensure an on-going diverse candidate pool that match the necessary skills and experience for our roles.

You will be working with a large team of Talent Acquisition professionals to support your learning and growth with MGM Resorts.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist Talent Acquisition team in the coordination and planning of recruitment fairs; represent the Talent Acquisition department, as needed at community events and recruitment venues
  • Maintain candidate status in applicant tracking system
  • Answer Talent Acquisition phone line to respond to recruitment business needs, including candidate requests
  • Review emails in the "Employment" Outlook inbox and send out general response emails as it relates to applying to our company for a position
  • Conduct weekly requisition hiring activity audits to ensure complete & timely documentation
  • Prepare and draft e-mails, offer letters, reports, meeting minutes and agendas
  • Schedule interviews for Talent Acquisition and Hiring Managers
  • Assist Hiring Managers with requisition status updates, applicant re-positioning and other common requests
  • Establish and maintain confidential records

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One (1) year of customer/guest service experience
  • Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Highly ethical and discreet, with ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong project management skills with excellent follow-up and follow-through
  • Familiarity with Recruitment and HR software programs (i.e., ATS, CTS, Kronos, Workday, etc)
  • Knowledgeable of state and federal labor laws
  • Strong interviewing and evaluating skills; able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
  • Ability to read and write proficiently to evaluate reports, correspondence and statistical information
  • Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast paced, team-oriented environment
  • Proficiency of computer software to include Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as office equipment, i.e. telephone, copier, fax machine
  • Effective listening abilities with strong judgment and analytical skills
  • Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
