Talent Acquisition Sourcer

The Talent Acquisition Sourcer will help build a diverse and expansive database of candidates to support our hiring needs at Sony Pictures Animation. They are responsible for sourcing, tracking, and engaging top tier candidates and community engagement. In addition, this role will provide backup interview scheduling support to recruiters as well as work on special projects as needed.

Sony Pictures Animation is a pre-production animation studio based in Culver City, California, creating both feature animation and animated series with artists from around the world. Responsibilities:

• Create and implement sourcing strategies to identify and qualify candidates for current job openings while building a pipeline for future hiring needs.
• Deliver an incredible candidate experience to each person you interact with.
• Partner with Recruiters and hiring managers to identify and understand various show needs and desired candidate skill-sets.
• Be creative in how you conduct searches using tools; from LinkedIn and ATS to reviewing film credits and targeting competitors in the industry.
• Network and develop leads through industry peers as well as internal referrals implementing CRM data collection
• Assist with reviewing resumes, phone interviews, and portfolio reviews.
• Phone screen candidates to evaluate if the candidate could be a fit for the current opening or potential future openings.
• Create comprehensive notes of candidates in our database to track for future use.
• Identify, participate and network with talent through industry events to surface and pitch up-and-coming animation candidates to studio decision makers.
• Provide interview scheduling support as needed.
• Streamline the candidate database.
• Additional recruiting projects which may include but are not limited to: preparing presentations, recruiting materials, and candidate decks.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years in a sourcing or recruiter position within animation
• Experience with reviewing story and design portfolios
• Knowledge of immigration, work visas and employment law.
• Experience with applicant tracking systems, Greenhouse a plus. 
• Ability to travel for Animation industry events, conferences, and school outreach trips.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $30 to $35/hour. This role may also qualify for incentives and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
