The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for managing full-cycle recruitment for a portfolio of requisitions. The ideal candidate can source and attract diverse candidates supporting both our corporate and business teams. The Talent Acquisition Specialist is expected to drive the talent acquisition process, provide strategic consulting to the business on process and compliance, and set expectations. Also, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will develop and execute sourcing/recruiting plans to identify and hire talent. This position will also support the pipeline of qualified talent to ensure a great candidate experience. Last, this person should have excellent relationship management skills to support the organization's long-term strategic talent acquisition needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with leaders, hiring managers, and the recruiting team to forecast short- and long-term hiring requirements and collaborate on organization-wide recruiting activities and overall external talent acquisition strategy.
  • Develop working relationships with clients and partner with hiring managers, interview, teams, and Talent Business Partners to assess needs, identify key talent, and screen candidates against accurate criteria
  • Develop & implement effective and innovative recruiting strategies to attract qualified & diverse talent and source high-quality candidates.
  • Screen and interview candidates for key role requirements and company values alignment
  • Connect with candidates throughout the recruitment process, providing a world-class experience. Assess candidates on a technical baseline and the ability to be successful in the NRG culture.
  • Partner effectively with the Onboarding team to create a smooth transition from accepting an offer to their first day on the job
  • Organize and maintain accurate and well-ordered documentation on all candidates, searches, hiring managers' interactions, and other recruiting activities to ensure a thorough audit
  • Actively participate in or possibly manage projects staffing-related activities across the organization and engage in cross-functional projects.
  • Create and foster relationships with colleges and diverse professional organizations to attract and recruit alumni and diverse candidates
  • Other Talent Acquisition related duties as assigned

  • Hybrid work schedule; in-office 3 days per week, remote 2 days per week.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 years of corporate or agency recruiting experience across various disciplines.
  • Extensive experience developing and executing comprehensive sourcing/recruitment plans.
  • Experience in Boolean search strings and knowledge on sourcing resumes, data mining, and internet research
  • Proven ability to support, interact and advise leaders.
  • Knowledge and experience navigating an Applicant Tracking System.
  • Experience managing multiple requisitions, reporting, and other competing priorities while meeting critical and routine deadlines
  • Resourceful and exceptional problem-solving skills
  • Strong stakeholder management and customer service skills.
  • Very strong people skills to engage passive candidates, understand key career aspirations and articulate a compelling candidate proposition.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to articulate organizational culture and opportunities to active or passive job seekers.
  • Must be organized and detail-oriented. Proficient computer skills are required, including the use of Microsoft.
  • Ability to travel as needed - max of 20% of the time.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 4 years' experience Recruiting with 2 years experience in a corporate Talent (HR) environment
  • 2 years of experience recruiting and sourcing candidates in field and plant roles.
  • 2 years of experience working with union positions.
  • 1-year experience creating presentations and presenting them to groups of 10 or more
  • Prior experience sourcing talent for Plant Managers, Instrumentation & Electrical and remote plant positions.
  • Exceptional track record and proven success in a competitor's environment.
  • Proven ability to interface with all levels within the organizational hierarchy from staff to executive level
  • Prior experience working in SAP SuccessFactors Applicant Tracking System
