We have an exciting opportunity for a Talent Acquisition Specialist who is going to be responsible for sourcing, attracting, selecting and hiring top talent in the market, as well as for overseeing and administrating recruiting efforts, including working closely with hiring managers, ad placement, resume reviews,
To be successful as a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you should be very knowledgeable about current marketplace conditions, o-line recruiting tools and the various laws and regulations which apply to them. Top candidates will also have great communication skills in order to educate hiring manager on recruiting techniques.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Work closely with management on hiring initiatives involving recruitment to ensure fairness in hiring practices in building a diverse and qualified team to support the organization
- Use various methods to recruit and network with potential candidates including social media platforms, networking events and job fairs.
- Ensure proper onboarding for new hires and the necessary paperwork is completed promptly and accurately
- Conduct preliminary interviews with recruits to gauge interest, personality and salary requirements
- Provide feedback to management about details regarding applications
- Using standardized screening techniques, assess the skills, qualifications and experience of potential candidates
- Meet with Human Resources to have a full-scale understanding of hiring needs and available positions within the company
- Plan and implement company recruiting and talent acquisition strategy
- Develop company's policy for talent benchmarking, talent assessment and interviewing
- Perform analysis of organizational development and anticipate future employment needs
- Design and manage recruitment and selection processes (resume screening, screening calls, interviews etc.)
- Reviews employment applications and background check reports
- Serve as brand ambassador at various events, like career fairs or on-campus recruiting events
- Represent company internally and externally at events with a goal of networking and relationship building with potential candidate communities
- Counsel the candidate on corporate benefits, salary, and corporate environment
- Build long-term relationships with past and potential candidates
- Manage respective candidate pools to ensure qualified candidates remain engaged in current or future opportunities
- Administer and submit all hiring paperwork for new employees
- Generate monthly updates for company's leadership about upcoming talent acquisition initiatives
- Create monthly reports on key talent acquisition metrics
- Communicate regularly with HR department to get a clear view of company's hiring needs and organizational goals
- Work closely with marketing department to develop creative ways for addressing talent acquisition challenges
- Proactively seek market intelligence to gain competitive advantage in attraction, assessment and sourcing methodologies
- Suggest new ideas for improving talent acquisition activities
- Research talent acquisition trends in the staffing industry
Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Interpersonal skills and ability to communicate professionally
- Experience in the continual development of talent pipelines and sourcing potential candidates
- Ability to speak knowledgeably about the company and answer any questions a potential hire may have
- Firm understanding and implementation of recruiting metrics to drive decision-making is strongly preferred
- Proficient in using company software and databases to connect with and reach out to potential candidates
- Previous experience developing and executing recruiting marketing and branding strategies
- Experience working with a diverse team and striving for fairness in hiring all races, genders and ages
- In-depth knowledge of candidate selection methods
- Excellent understanding of full cycle recruiting
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload
- Creative thinker and proactive problem solver
- A positive, "can do" attitude
- Degree in human resources or related field.
- Advanced Excel skills, including use of V-Lookup and Pivot Tables
- Professional certification (such as, SPHR ) is favorable
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Associate Degree in Business, Human Resources or related field preferred
- Previous working experience preferably as a Talent Acquisition Specialist for (5) years
- Previous experience seeking talent recruitment and assisting with onboarding processes
