Talent Acquisition Specialist
Job Description
Centrica Care Navigators is excited to add a Talent Acquisition SpecialistĀ to our growing Human Resources team! This position worksĀ Monday ā Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm, at our Kalamazoo office on Stadium Drive. The position is responsible for agency-wide recruitment.
Specific responsibilities of this position include:
- Reviewing and maintaining all personnel requisition forms to ensure accurate tracking of open and filled positions
- Posting vacancies internally and externally, including drafting position ads and coordinating advertising of open positions
- Collaborating withĀ the Marketing and Development team to leverage the agency's social media presence for promoting open positions
- Working with hiring leaders to develop recruitment and interviewing plans for all positionsĀ
- Providing feedback on the effectiveness of recruitment strategiesĀ and recommendations for improvement
- Managing candidates in an electronic Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
- Conducting initial reviews of resumes/applications and telephone screens
- Recommending candidates for hiring manager review and updating hiring managers frequently on the status of all current searches
- Conducting verifications of candidate employment
- Helping to facilitate an excellent candidate experience, including responding to inquiries from candidates regarding available positions and application status
- Developing and maintaining relationships with talent sources such as schools and community organizations
- Participating in school and community job fairs
- Assisting with the development and maintenanceĀ of the recruitment budget, including making recommendations for new recruitment/advertising partners
- Serving as the point of contact for recruitment advertising vendors
- Collecting, tracking, and reporting out on recruitment/hiring metrics
- Monitoring recruitment timeframes and preparing monthly reports on recruitment activity
- Supporting the human resources team as assigned
Requirements for this position include:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least one (1) to three (3) years previous experience with recruitment, applicant tracking, and the hiring process strongly preferred.Ā
- Professional Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM-CP preferred
- Excellent understanding of Human Resources practices and employment law, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment
- Excellent attention to detail with an extremely high level of accuracy
- Excellent organizational skills
- Very strong computer skills, including a high proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and previous experience creating and managing fillable electronic documents
- High sensitivity for the confidential natureĀ of materials/information processed
- Has the availability of a reliable, licensed, and insured vehicle for use on the job
- Remains up-to-date on all required routine immunizations required by LARA and agency policy
